在学校创新创业教育教学改革精神的指导下，为进一步提高全校师生文化交流意识，开阔国际化视野，同时作为英语系首届“下一站·世界”国际文化节的系列活动之一，英语系将在本学期开展四场面向全校的“东西方文化漫谈”系列主题讲座。讲座将分为美、英、加、日韩四个专场，由外教主讲，中教联合主持。第二场讲座为英国专场，由来自英国的外教主讲。英国文化中极富历史意义的创新精神使英国今天在世界舞台上扮演着重要而不可替代的角色。主讲人将带我们一起回顾英国历史上重要的创新与发明，并从社会、经济等角度探讨文化对英国创新史的卓越贡献。本次讲座的具体安排如下：

The Department of English is glad to bring you a series of lectures on “Discovery-Enriched: Experience Cross-Cultural Innovation and Creativity”. The cross-cultural lectures aim to raise awareness of the connection between culture and innovation. The lectures will focus on cross-cultural innovation and creativity in the East (Japan and South Korea) and in the West (Canada, UK, and U.S.). Our presenter Luke Bailey will discuss some of the key innovations and inventions of British history on Nov. 3rd 2015 at 3:30PM (Tuesday). Together, we will explore how the culture, the time and the historical conceptions influence each other. Welcome to join this stimulating gathering filled with delight and insight!
